ESTA Extension of Stay - Satisfactory Departure
Generally, if you enter the U.S. Visa Waiver Program (ESTA), you cannot extend your stay beyond 90 days. However, If an emergency prevents you from departing from the U.S. within the period of authorized stay, the district director having jurisdiction over the place of your temporary stay may, in his or her discretion, grant a period of satisfactory departure not to exceed 30 days. If a departure is accomplished during that period, you would be regarded as having satisfactorily accomplished the visit without overstaying the allotted time.

- Any local CBP Port of Entry or Deferred Inspection Site; or
- The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283.
